Another Maple project has been short-listed for a prestigious award.

Victoria Street multi-storey car park in Liverpool is in the running for a North West Regional Construction Award.

We created a distinctive façade for the project - a joint-effort between architects Leach Rhodes Walker, Willmott Dixon Construction and Liverpool City Council.

It's that collaboration that has earned a nomination in the Sub-regional Project of the year (Liverpool) as an 'outstanding example of best practice, commitment, collaboration and sustainable project delivery across the built environment'.

Celebrating the announcement, architects LRW said: "We don't believe car parks have to be mundane but can contribute to any town centre or mixed use scheme as a vibrant addition to the street scene."

The £6.5m project, which will include retail units, cafes and restaurants as well as 333 car park spaces, is part of a wider regeneration scheme for Liverpool city centre.  The site has been empty since the old municipal buildings were destroyed in World War Two.
