YEAR (1)

From landmark projects to company milestones, 2021 was a memorable year for Maple.

We completed our 30th car park façade and toasted the success of one of our largest-ever projects – and marked the return to our Covid-secure offices after a year of disruption.

But, above all, we were delighted to work with some amazing architects and committed contractors to deliver projects across the UK, from pre-construction to final installation. Here’s a selection of our favourites.

School of Digital Arts building

5. School of Digital Arts, Manchester

We installed rainscreen cladding to Manchester Metropolitan University’s new SODA building (more than 3,000 sq m of profiled aluminium panels in total). But it was something else that shone the spotlight on Maple’s expertise – ingenious perforated panels that accommodated LED lighting. Read more...

4. Oxygen, Manchester

It’s enough to take your breath away. We installed rainscreen cladding and expanded mesh panels to Manchester’s latest skyscraper. The 32-storey apartment building makes a dramatic impact on the city centre – but first required Maple to address the challenges of wind load on the panels and fixings. Read more...

Blackfriargate MSCP and Arco offices

3. Blackfriargate, Hull

We completed work on Arco’s new £16m office development, and on the Fruit Market car park next door. The project featured vertical fins, brise soleil light shelves and louvered rooftop plant screens on Arco’s new five-storey offices – as well as fins and an expanded mesh façade to the 350-space car park. Paddington MSCP architectural facade

2. Paddington Central car park, Liverpool

Chances are you’ve never heard of Liverpool’s Williamson Tunnels. Neither had we... until we helped bring them to life with more than 2,000 perforated panels on the façade of the city’s newest car park with an intriguing design by KKA Architecture. Read more...

1. Broadmarsh bus station and car park, Nottingham

The largest of them all. A complex mix of aluminium and Equitone panels, cast glass panels, terracotta tiles and vertical aluminium fins across thousands of square metres gave Nottingham’s huge new multi-storey a bright and modern look. In fact, it’s hard to believe the landmark building is really a car park. Read more...

Our architectural façades are performance tested and improve the aesthetic of a building

Maple's façade systems are available in a range of materials, finishes and sizes to create the desired architectural effect on a building. Solid and perforated façades are most common, but architectural façades are bespoke for each project.
