Maple screening helps put heart back into Sheffield development

Maple have completed the first part of a project in Sheffield to install plant screening that doesn’t look like plant screening.

The vertical louvres on Isaacs House in Sheffield have been designed to complement a Victorian façade that’s being retained within the development. However, they’ll still fulfil their primary function – to hide heating, ventilation and air conditioning machinery from view, as well as protecting it from the elements.

“It's really good to see the top level of the development taking shape,” said Maple’s project consultant, Mark Revell. “By incorporating our Corona blades into a bespoke screening system, we created something that looks great as well as protecting plant, machinery and ventilation systems.”

The Corona blade vertical screening system has been anodised with an organic dye to match the brickwork, and help the eighth floor plant room blend in.

Isaacs House is part of Sheffield’s Heart of the City masterplan and will provide modern workspace on the upper floors, above ground-level retail units.
